“SPEAR” Exercise | Impressive images from the Hellenic Navy’s operational training – Photos & VIDEO
From Monday 05 to Thursday 08 October 2020, the planned national small-scale exercise “SPEAR” was held in the sea area of Myrtoan Sea, Kythera and southwest Crete. Units from the Hellenic Navy Frigates Command, Fast Boat Command, Surveillance Ships Command, Submarines Command, Naval Aviation Command as well as aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force participated in the exercise.
Participants practised in all types of naval warfare with an emphasis on conducting advanced fire drills against air and surface targets.
This exercise was carried out in the framework of the annual operational training program of the Hellenic Navy units in order to maintain and increase the operational readiness and combat capability of the participants.
