The Consulate General of Greece in Moscow has started to reissue visas to Russian citizens wishing to visit Greece.

This was announced by the secretary of the Greek embassy in the Russian capital, Despina Nikolaidou, as reported by the Russian NTV network on its website.

“We are working as usual. We had a problem due to personnel leaving. But now everything is fine,” the secretary of the Greek embassy, Despina Nikolaidou, pointed out.

It is recalled that last week the Greek ambassador in Moscow, Ekaterini Nasika, was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and she was given a protest letter and informed that 8 diplomatic employees of the embassy and consulate are considered persona non gratae and will have to leave within eight days.

This move was made as a countermeasure to the shipment of arms to Ukraine from Athens and the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the Greek capital.
