Rheinmetall and Anduril Industries have announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop and deliver a comprehensive suite of autonomous systems.

Rheinmetall has secured additional major orders for the supply of 155 mm artillery ammunition.
An international customer has placed two orders with Rheinmetall Denel Munition, a subsidiary of Rheinmetall, for the delivery of extended-range, full bore (ERFB) 155 mm artillery ammunition, with a total value in the high double-digit million-euro range.
The order comprises projectiles, propellants, and fuses.
These latest contracts reflect the rapidly rising global demand for ammunition, driven by the increasingly tense international security environment. The Düsseldorf-based technology group has been scaling up its production capacity since 2022, aiming to manufacture at least 1.1 million 155 mm artillery shells per year by 2027.
Like the wider Rheinmetall Group, Rheinmetall Denel Munition is continuously expanding its manufacturing capabilities, as global supply capacity struggles to meet demand.
According to the company, Rheinmetall Denel Munition is also making significant progress in integrating advanced technological innovations into its production. This leads to improved performance and exceptional usability in the field.
The company is currently validating the firing of precision-guided projectiles with a range of 73 km from howitzers that comply with NATO’s Joint Ballistics Memorandum of Understanding (JBMOU). These extended ranges greatly enhance both survivability and offensive capability on the battlefield.
Rheinmetall Denel Munition anticipates a continued increase in orders and is consistently updating its five-year production plan to address the requirements of its key customers.
