Following the Cabinet’s approval, dozens of promotions of Cyprus Army Officers and NCOs have been signed for 2021.
According to information on our page, the allocation of positions for the promotion of Officers / NCOs during the current year is as follows:

Officers of all branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Joint Corps)
- 55 Second Lieutenants are promoted to the rank of Lieutenant
- 37 Lieutenants are promoted to the rank of Captain
- 35 Captains are promoted to the rank of Major
- 34 Majors are promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel
- 27 Lieutenant Colonels are promoted to the rank of Colonel
- 8 Colonels are promoted to the rank of Brigadier
- 2 Brigadiers are promoted to the rank of Major General
NCOs of all branches (Army , Navy, Air Force, Joint Corps)
- 34 Sergeants are promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant
- 89 Sergeants are promoted to the rank of Sergeant Major
- 56 Sergeant Majors are promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer C
- 9 Warrant Officers Class III are promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer B
- 3 Warrant Officers Class II are promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer A
