Participation of the Hellenic Air Force in the Exercise “THRACIAN VIPER 2020” – VIDEO
Following the approval of the General Staff of National Defence, the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) participated in the Multinational Air Force “THRACIAN VIPER-2020″. The exercise was held between Monday, September 14 to Friday the 25th 2020 in the FIR area of Sofia.
The exercise involved personnel and aircraft from Bulgaria (BGR AF), Romania (RoAF), Canada (RCAF), the United States (USAF) and Greece (HAF). The Hellenic Air Force participated with F-16 jets from the 110th and 111th Combat Wings.
During the exercise, air combat and ground attack scenarios were executed, with an increasing degree of difficulty and complexity, contributing to the upgrading of the level of cooperation and interoperability among the participants, while a valuable exchange of experience and know-how took place.
