Pakistan has successfully test-fired an intermediate-range ballistic missile, Shaheen 2.
The launch was aimed at evaluating the performance of the missile and its subsystems, as well as training relevant military personnel. According to the information that has seen the light of day, the missile hit the target accurately.
The National Engineering and Scientific Commission of the State of Pakistan is developing the Shaheen 2 medium-range ballistic missile.Open sources estimate its maximum range to reach up to 1500 km.The country’s nuclear deterrence capabilities reportedly include the missile in question.
