National Guard personnel participated from October 10 to 14, 2022 as observers in the “OLYMPIC COOPERATION-22” exercise, which took place at the Petrochorio Exercise Field, Xanthi with the participation of Greek and US Armed Forces.
The purpose of the exercise, which ends on October 21, 2022, is to enhance military cooperation and training in a live-fire tactical scenario. It focuses on drills and tactics of Mechanized Infantry and Armored Vehicles as well as on decision-making in rapidly-changing situations by low-echelon Commanders.
The participation of National Guard personnel in the exercise is part of their continuous and multi-level training, as it provides the opportunity to exchange experiences and technical knowledge and contributes significantly to the increase of their combat and operational capabilities.
