The Ministry of Citizen Protection proceeded to the immediate reinforcement of the fleet of vehicles of the Hellenic Police with 278 patrol vehicles of the renowned Nissan Qashqai, signing the relevant contract with Nissan – Nick. I. Theocharakis SA.
The supply of vehicles emerged after an open tender and international participation. It is noted that the specific purchase of Qashqai patrol vehicles is co-financed by the European Union as well as by Greek National Resources.
The said Nissan vehicles are four-wheel drive and are equipped with the 1.7-liter diesel engine of the Japanese automaker, with horsepower 150. In addition, they are properly configured by Nissan – Nick. I. Theocharakis SA in order to serve the difficult and demanding operational work of the Hellenic Police.
At the same time, the Special Suppression Counter-Terrorism Unit (EKAM) of the Hellenic Police is further reinforced by Navara type Nissan with patrol vehicles. With their top-notch quality and features, these vehicles have won EΚΑΜ’s trust and have also been modified by Nissan Nick. – I. Theocharakis SA in order to serve the difficult and demanding operational work of the Special Unit of the Hellenic Police.
