By the end of the current year, the Cyprus Police will receive 26 new vehicles for the Provincial Traffic Departments aiming at the policing of the secondary road network.
Another 23 high-performance vehicles will also be received, 15 of which will be equipped with on-board radar and 8 with an automatic number-plate recognition (A.N.P.R.) system, which will be delivered to the Police Traffic Department.

A riot car is also expected to be received.
As far as the Fire Department is concerned, the body is equipped with two new state-of-the-art PANTHER PA146 vehicles by Rosenbauer which are among the most successful, efficient and variable ARFF vehicles in the world.
The new vehicles were received by the Larnaca Fire Station from HERMES AIRPORTS. The award-winning design of PANTHER PA146 along with its powerful performance make them one of the most modern Airport fire fighting vehicles of our time.
