Netherlands | Procurement of 22 Skyranger 30 Anti-Aircraft on ACSV Armoured Vehicles

The Dutch Ministry of Defence announced on Wednesday, 29 January, the procurement of 22 Skyranger 30 anti-aircraft systems integrated into ACSV armoured vehicles.

According to the Dutch Ministry of Defence’s announcement, the contracts are expected to be signed in the near future, with the first deliveries anticipated in 2028.

The Skyranger 30 air defence system features a 30mm x 173 KCE autocannon, with a rate of fire of 1,250 rounds per minute and an effective range of 3 km. The turret is designed for compatibility with short-range anti-aircraft missiles. It can be equipped with AESA radar, advanced sensors, ballistic protection, rapid-deployment ROSY smoke screen launchers, and Rheinmetall is currently integrating laser weaponry.

The ACSV G5 tracked vehicle, developed by the German company FFG, weighs 26 tonnes and measures 6.93 metres in length. It has a top speed of 74 km/h and a range exceeding 600 km. The vehicle can traverse a 2.3-metre ditch and overcome obstacles with a 30% gradient. It has a payload capacity of up to 8 tonnes.
