National Guard’s contribution to extinguishing fires | VIDEO-PHOTOS
The National Guard was called upon to assist in the efforts of the Department of Forestry to extinguish fires that broke out on two separate fronts. Specifically, an AW-139 helicopter of the 460th Search and Rescue Squadron took off and made 12 water drops on the Nicosia-Larnaca arterial road, between the villages of Kornos and Kofinou and in the area of the municipality of Ypsonas in the province of Limassol.
