In the context of the issuance of instructions to the new Commanders of Formations and Commands of the National Guard who, following the recent promotions, took over these duties, the Chief, Lieutenant General Democritus Zervakis, visited all the Formations and Commands of the National Guard.

During the Chief’s visits, the Commanders presented their vision and goals as well as the main challenges they are facing in terms of carrying out their mission.

The Chief also attended training and other activities in the Exercise and Shooting Fields of the National Guard. At the same time he had personal contact with the Staffs and a large number of the Formations and Commands staff, in the context of which he gave his instructions and directions. At the same time, he was informed of ways to improve the operation of the National Guard, which have been recorded for further consideration by the National Guard General Staff (GEEF).

The visits gave the Chief the opportunity to confirm the high level of readiness, professionalism and morale of the staff of the Armed Forces, which despite the conditions created by the pandemic, continues to be trained, adapting to the requirements of its operational mission.
