On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the Bilateral Defence Cooperation Program between the Republic of Cyprus and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for 2022 was signed. The National Guard was represented by the Director of the 4th Branch, Colonel Neophytos Pachoulidis, while the Jordanian Armed Forces were represented by Brigadier Thamer Kal.
According to the announcement of the National Guard General Staff (GEEF), the program includes, among other things, the conduct of joint trainings, exercises and bilateral contacts for exchange of expertise, in order to promote military cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and Jordan, as well as to highlight the excellent relations between the Armed Forces of the two countries.
