In the framework of the implementation of the Bilateral Defence Cooperation Program between Cyprus and Israel for 2022, the annual multinational aeronautical exercise “NOBLE DINA – 2022” will take place from March 20-24, 2022, with the participation of vessels and aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Cyprus, Greece, the USA, France, and Israel, which was also the host country.

The scenario of the exercise included various training activities in the marine environment, such as Tactical Movements and Advanced Maneuvers, Warships escort, Anti-submarine Warfare, and Aeronautical Cooperation Operations as well as Search and Rescue Exercises, coordinated by the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) of the Republic of Cyprus.

In particular, the Republic of Cyprus participated in all phases of the exercise with the General Support Ship ALASIA of the Navy Command, while in the execution of the Search and Rescue exercise participated an AW-139 helicopter of the Air Force Command, the Patrol Ship TSOMAKIS, and the Offshore Patrol Vessel IOANNIDIS of the Navy Command.

The exercise, which is part of the network of international cooperation developed by the Republic of Cyprus, enables the personnel of the National Guard and the JRCC to jointly train with the Special Forces of friendly and allied countries, thus promoting interoperability and the excellent relations between the participating States.
