According to an announcement by the National Guard General Staff (GEEF), from April 11-15, 2022, in the context of personnel’s operational training, Artillery Shots were fired with 155 mm NORA howitzers at the Kiti Shooting Range. The shots were executed by Unit personnel of the Artillery Command that have the specific type of equipment and showed the high level of operational readiness of the Artillery Units personnel.
NORA howitzer technical characteristics:
- Main armament: 155 mm/52 caliber
- Weight: 34 tons
- Endurance: 1000 km
- Maximum firing rate: 4 rounds/minute
- Range: 32 km with common M107 projectile – 42 km with ERFB-BB projectile
- Type: Automatic
- Number of rounds: 36
- Crew: 3-5 people
