The honorary Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff and former Minister of National Defence, General Alcibiades Stefanis, takes over as the new commander of Mount Athos.
Mr. Stefanis assumes the position after the resignation of the ambassador-at-large Anastasios Mitsialis.
In detail, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that it has been announced that the Honorary Ambassador Mr. Anastasios Mitsialis has resigned from the position of Governor of Mount Athos.
The new Commander is the Honorary Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff and former Minister of National Defence General Alcibiades Stefanis.
