The Ministry of Defence participated in the 1st European Defence Innovation Day, organized by the European Defence Agency, under the auspices of the French Presidency of the EU, on May 31, 2022.
According to an announcement of the Ministry, the conference hosted an exhibition of innovative products and research and development projects from 19 Member-States. The Ministry of Defence was represented with its own pavilion, with the participation of Cyprus small- and medium-sized enterprises active in Research and Development in the Defence and Security Sectors. Such companies are SignalGeneriX, CyRIC and UBITECH.
The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr. Josep Borrell Fontelles, and the Executive Director of the European Defence Agency, Mr. Jiří Šedivý, visited the Cyprus pavilion.
