Ministry of Defence and CNP Insurance join forces for road safety

For the 5th consecutive year, the Ministry of Defence and CNP Insurance are joining forces against road accidents. Within the framework of the cooperation of the two organizations, targeted actions are implemented that concern the prevention of road accidents and the protection and safety measures for the National Guards on the road. Through the collective effort, it is proved that great social challenges are effectively addressed, such as the National Guards’ road safety.
In an event that took place on July 28, 2020 at the headquarters of the CNP CYPRUS Group, with the sponsorship of CNP INSURANCE, the Ministry of Defence, in the framework of the “Positive Motivation Policy”, awarded ten National Guards with tablets. These are the ten soldiers who made systematic use of the Free Bus Scheme to and from their Units during the period September 2019 – July 2020. The significant reduction of road accidents related to the transfer of soldiers to and from their camps proves that both this action and all other actions of the MoD for the training of National Guards in matters of road safety are successful.
