MILTECH – HORNET | Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation on Remote-Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS)

During DEFEA 2025, MILTECH HELLAS S.A. and HORNET, a subsidiary of ARQUUS—France’s primary supplier of light armoured vehicles—officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the field of Remote-Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS).

This collaboration aims to address the current defence requirements of the Hellenic Armed Forces, particularly in the modernisation and procurement of military platforms.

The MoU focuses on the following key projects:

  • Modernisation of Hellenic Armed Forces land platforms: Integration of Hornet RCWS into existing armoured vehicles or other suitable platforms.
  • Acquisition of new armoured vehicles or platforms: Equipping these with Hornet RCWS to enhance operational capability.

The agreement outlines multiple domains of potential cooperation, including:

  • Sales and marketing
  • Technical development and support
  • Product qualification and certification
  • Manufacturing (CKD/SKD assembly, licensing agreements)
  • After-sales services (technical assistance, training)
  • Supply of subsystems and components

MILTECH is a trusted supplier to the Hellenic Ministry of Defence, known for its expertise in defence systems integration and manufacturing. HORNET, as part of ARQUUS, is a recognised leader in the design, development, and production of advanced RCWS for military forces globally.

According to MILTECH, this partnership represents a strategic step towards strengthening Greece’s defence capabilities by leveraging cutting-edge technology to meet the evolving needs of the Hellenic Armed Forces.
