MILTECH HELLAS S.A. has officially announced its participation in the VBCI PHILOCTETES programme, in collaboration with KNDS France and other prominent Greek companies, including METLEN Energy & Metals, INTRACOM DEFENSE, and the Sarakakis Group of Companies.

The VBCI PHILOCTETES  initiative represents a landmark development effort aimed at producing a next-generation 8×8 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV), specifically tailored to meet the operational requirements of the Hellenic Army.

This international partnership not only enhances Europe’s strategic defence autonomy but also deepens industrial cooperation between Greece and France.

MILTECH HELLAS S.A.  will play a key role by supplying advanced electronic systems and subsystems, drawing on its extensive expertise in the design, integration, and manufacturing of high-tech defence solutions.

Its participation in the VBCI PHILOCTETES programme further consolidates the company’s position as a trusted supplier to the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence and as a reliable partner in international defence ventures.

The programme includes provisions for technology transfer and local production of  critical vehicle systems, thereby supporting the Greek defence industrial base and contributing to the creation of highly specialised employment opportunities. 

This partnership marks a major milestone in the effort to strengthen Greece’s domestic industrial capabilities and expand its footprint in European defence programmes.
