A Turkish military helicopter crashed in the province of Bingιόl in Anatolia. According to Turkish media, 11 soldiers and officials aboard were killed and others were injured.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defence talks about an AS532 Cougar helicopter, which took off from Bingιόl at 1:55 p.m. and crashed on the way to the Tatvan region in the city of Bitlis in eastern Turkey.
