Defence Redefined

A meeting of the Minister of Defence, Charalambos Petridis, with the chairman of the Parliamentary Defence Committee and EDEK, Marinos Sizopoulos was held today. 

During the meeting, issues related to the local Defence and the effort made by the Ministry of Defence to upgrade the operational capacity of the National Guard were extensively discussed. 

The meeting was attended by the Chief of the National Guard, Demokritos Zervakis, and the General Director of the Ministry of Defence, Andreas P. Loukas. We remind you that both Mr. Loukas and the Chief of the National Guard General Staff participated in the Defence Committee, which met extraordinarily on Thursday 07/12, for the planning of the Committee’s next sessions, but also for the release of funds. 

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Audit Office and the General Accounting Office were present at the extraordinary meeting.
