France and Britain have announced the revival of industrial partnership aimed at replenishing their armed forces’ stockpiles, focusing on the SCALP/Storm Shadow long-range cruise missile.

In a significant step for European defence innovation, within the framework of the MARSEUS project, SignalGeneriX’s RF Hunter Direction Finder has been successfully integrated with MBDA’s Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) AKERON turret, mounted on Milrem Robotics’ Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle.
This integration aims to deliver advanced, real-time electromagnetic spectrum situational awareness, substantially enhancing operational intelligence and survivability for land forces operating in contested environments.
The achievement marks an important milestone within the MARSEUS (Modular Architecture Solutions for EU States) project, funded under the European Defence Fund (EDF) and coordinated by MBDA. MARSEUS is designed to consolidate and expand Europe’s ground combat capabilities by integrating modular, collaborative architectures that enhance existing missile systems with BLOS engagement functionalities.
MARSEUS continues the technological path initiated under the EDIDP-funded LynkEUs project, also coordinated by MBDA, which laid the groundwork for advancing BLOS missile system capabilities. The LynkEUs project, launched in 2020, produced substantial results for the initial participating nations—France, Belgium and Cyprus—which signed the related Letter of Intent.
The MARSEUS programme represents the second phase of this strategic initiative, bringing together defence ministries from France, Sweden, Belgium and Cyprus, with support from the European Commission.
Notably, MARSEUS is linked to the broader framework of the PESCO project, EU Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) Land Battlefield Missile Systems, reinforcing European cooperation on next-generation precision strike capabilities. Cyprus-based entities Additess and SignalGeneriX play an active role, with SignalGeneriX’s RF Hunter now integrated as part of the system architecture.
This integration reflects Europe’s ongoing efforts to strengthen defence autonomy and technological superiority, ensuring that European ground forces remain equipped for high-intensity, complex operational theatres.
