Kazakh President Kasim-Yomart Tokayev said today that constitutional order has been restored for most cities in the country.
Kazakhstan’s Interior Ministry said in a separate press release that 26 “armed criminals” had been killed and more than 3,000 arrested, and that 18 police officers and members of the National Guard had been killed since the outbreak of the protests.
Mr. Tokayev will address the nation today, state television reported.
