Israeli warplanes struck positions in the Gaza Strip early this morning and warnings of rockets launched from the Palestinian enclave sounded in southern Israel, according to Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses.

According to the Israeli Army (IDF), a Hamas military base and a weapons factory were struck in the Israeli air raid.

Terrorists in Gaza have fired 15 rockets at Israel since last night.

In response, our Air Force just struck Hamas targets in Gaza including a weapons & explosives manufacturing factory and a military compound.

We will continue to operate against any attempts to attack Israel.

Hours earlier, a rocket fired by Palestinian fighters from Gaza struck the coastal Israeli city of Aston, injuring two people, as Israel and two Gulf Arab states – the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain – were signing agreements to normalize their relations in the White House.
