An underground naval base has been revealed by the Revolutionary Guards’ naval force, just two days before the inauguration of new US President Donald Trump.

Images broadcast by Iranian state television showed dozens of small boats equipped with machine guns and missiles, parked in a labyrinth of underground galleries.

The base, where these missile-launching strike vessels are stationed, is located at a depth of 500 meters in southern Iranian waters, Iranian television reported.

General Hossein Salami, commander of the Revolutionary Guards, and General Alireza Tangsiri, the commander of the Guards’ naval forces, visited the base, according to images released.
