The female Professional Soldier (SYOP), who was injured yesterday 14/10 in the firing range of Kalo Chorio, underwent a small operation.
According to information on our page, the woman suffered a knee injury from the accident and underwent surgery today.
The same sources state that she is in good health and there is no reason for concern, while she is expected to be discharged from hospital once she recovers.
We remind you that a mortar shell exploded at a short distance (approximately 100m) from the point where the SYOP was performing security duties (to prevent entry to the Shooting Range) resulting in a slight injury to her leg. She was immediately taken to Larnaca General Hospital.
The incident is being investigated by the National Guard.
