After the promotions of Senior Officers and NCOs, it is expected that the contracting NCOs (SYP) will be promoted in the next period.
According to our sources, there is not a specific timeframe regarding the promotions of the SYP, however these are believed to take place within 2021.
In our contact with the president and the vice-president of the Cyprus Army Non-Commissioned Officers Association (SYKS), Kaiti Markoullidou and George Ioakeim, we were told that the promotions are expected to be announced by the end of March or the beginning of April.
Sources from the Ministry of Defence told us that the promotions of SYP are ready, however it remains unknown when they will be signed.
We remind you that, in a report by DEFENCE ReDEFiNED, our information was that the promotions of the SYP and the female volunteer NCOs are expected to take place immediately, in a short period of time, possibly in March.
