The immigrants, who arrived early by boat off the coast of Ayia Napa this morning, are returning to Lebanon by private boat.

After an overnight operation by the state services and the Port Police and in cooperation with the neighboring country, the immigrants will be sent back to their country.

The boat with the immigrants was detected in the sea area of Cape Greco this morning and alerted the Cypriot authorities. Coast Guard boats approached the boat with 45 people on board.

Following consultations, it was decided to send the immigrants back to Lebanon, where they travelled from.

The private boat that left for Lebanon was escorted by the Coast Guard.

In total, 114 Lebanese immigrants were repatriated within two days.
