HNDGS | “Applied and Holistic Management of Hybrid Threats and Crises” – Photos

On Thursday, April 1, 2021 the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), General Konstantinos Floros, attended the beginning of the seminar entitled “Applied and Holistic Management of Hybrid Threats and Crises” inaugurated by the Defence Minister, Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos. The seminar took place at the “Flying Officer (I) Nikolaos Sialmas” amphitheatre, under the auspices of the General Directorate of Civil Defence Policy & International Relations of the Ministry of National Defence with the contribution of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff.
In his address, after praising the initiative of the General Directorate of Civil Defence & International Relations to introduce the participants in the operational procedures of Hybrid Threat management, the Chief of the HNDGS referred to the active role of our Country in the security and stability in the Central and Eastern Mediterranean, reflected in the alliances and partnerships that have recently been built and are constantly being strengthened.
He also made particular reference to the extent of the adverse effects of hybrid threats and to the fact that their rapid escalation could turn them into a conventional military conflict.
In conclusion, the Head of the HNDGS expressed his confidence that the participants will reap the most benefit from the Thematic Units of the Seminar which will further promote their operational readiness, while emphasizing the value of personal familiarity with and contact of those involved in decision-making processes.
The opening ceremony of the seminar was also attended by the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Air Marshal (I) George Blioumis, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis, and the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Rear Admiral Stylianos Petrakis.
