The active and consistent participation of member companies of the Hellenic Aerospace Security & Defence Industries Group (HASDIG) in the European Defence Fund (EDF) continues to yield results.

Under the 2024 EDF call, seven Greek companies secured funding and joined 17 research projects, further strengthening Greece’s position on the European map of technological development and defence cooperation.

This success builds on the achievements of previous years, during which HASDIG member companies participated consistently in the EDF programmes of 2021, 2022, and 2023.

According to official data from the European Commission, the seven Greek companies are part of consortia with a total budget of €625.6 million. Of this amount, €487.19 million is covered by EU funding, with the remaining balance financed through national contributions from the Member States.

Overall, the EU funding for EDF-2024 amounts to €910 million.
