From Friday 22nd, to Friday, 29th, November 2024, the final phase of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Greece (NRDC-GR) exercise in the role of an Army Corps (War Fighting Corps–WFC) took place in the wider area of Thessaloniki, with the brand “GORDIAN KNOT 2024.”
The purpose of the exercise, in which personnel of the NRDC-GR and other NATO allied structures participated, was to train the NRDC-GR Headquarters as a WFC. This was made possible through the design and conduct of operations, with the parallel integration of forces and the possibilities they offer, in the context of the implementation of Article 5 of the founding treaty regarding collective defence.
In addition, on Thursday, November 28, 2024, the Distinguished Visitors Day (DV Day) took place at the “PROKOPIDI” Camp in Assiro, where the guests had the opportunity to learn about the operation and mission of the Headquarters.
