Rheinmetall will receive over €130 million in funding from the European Union to increase ammunition production.
Following an agreement with the US, Germany will send a squadron of Patriot missiles and Marder Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs) to Ukraine.
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, thanked Germany for the decision to send the said anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine. He specifically mentioned that Germany, with the previous mission of IRIS-T and Gepard, contributes decisively to strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to intercept Russian missile attacks.
