Five improvised explosive devices (IED) were found last night in an open space in Aradippou.
According to the Police, shortly after eight o’clock on Wednesday night, members of the Force were notified and went to the area of Panagia Aimatousa in Aradippou, where they found five suspicious objects in nylon packages in an open space.
The scene was blocked and members of the Fire Department of the Police Headquarters, who went to the scene, conducted investigations. It was found that these objects were five low power improvised explosive devices with an improvised remote-controlled mechanism.
The devices have been collected for the necessary scientific investigations.
The case is being investigated by the Larnaca CID.
