The Fire Service informs that it will conduct exercise “PYRSOS 2023” focusing on agroforestry fires. The exercise will take place with the participation of all State Services with the deployment of both ground and air forces and will be held tomorrow Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11:00 am. “PYRSOS 2023” is conducted within the framework of the Service’s training activities aimed at the readiness and preparation for the fire fighting season.
In addition to the State Air Forces, helicopters from Jordan and the British Bases will also participate in the exercise, the relevant announcement states.
The exercise will take place northeast of Kyvides Community in Limassol District. It will be attended by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, other civil and departmental officials of the State as well as delegations of foreign countries.
