Hyundai Rotem, which signed a contract worth 9 trillion won to supply K2 battle tanks to Poland, is now accelerating the development of a next-generation battle tank.

The Greek-designed Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) VTR for special operations missions made its first appearance during the VIP Day of the multinational Special Forces-Special Operations exercise ORION 2024, held in Pachi, Megara.
According to the thepressroom.gr website, the use of the USV VTR was announced by the announcer at the exercise observatory and used in the execution of some of its scenarios.
The newcomer was not demonstrated at the end of the exercise in the presentation area of the used material, except for its operating console and its personnel.

The USV VTR can develop a speed of 25 km while guided via satellite link (SATCOM). Among other things, this system features a 360-degree electro-optical camera, thermal camera, and radar for the detection and avoidance of surface obstacles.
In addition, VTR can conduct automatic navigation via Way Points as well as safely return to its operator in case of loss of communication with him.
The USV VTR is a standard commercial vessel that has been processed and made “military-specific” by the HNDGS KETAK, according to the officials, who added that its development continues.
They stressed that its performance was completely satisfactory for the scenarios that it was called upon to execute.
