Engineers Command | Military Search training with Dutch army

According to an announcement by the National Guard General Staff (GEEF), from October 7-22, 2021, the second training cycle on Military Search Capability Building of the Engineer Corps of the National Guard took place in Cyprus. This training is carried out in the framework of the programs organised by the European Defence Agency aiming at the benefit of the EU Member States and was conducted with the participation of personnel of the Dutch Special Forces.

GEEF released rich photographic material from the training.

The purpose of the training was to design, apply specific procedures and techniques to persons, routes, buildings, areas and means in order to identify threats that affect the smooth execution of military maneuvers, actions and operations.

Certain phases of the training were attended by the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Democritus Zervakis, who noted the high level of training and professionalism of the participating personnel. The Chief also thanked the Dutch Special Forces personnel for the perfect organisation and execution of the exercise.       

In addition to the additional experience provided, the participation of the Engineers Command personnel in the said training significantly contributes to the increase of the National Guard’s capabilities in the field of Military Search.
