Theon International Plc (THEON) has announced the next step in its €10 million investment plan, initially unveiled in October 2024, which concerns the development of new products to be integrated on operational platforms.
The defence industry conglomerate EFA GROUP continues its dynamic evolution into a unified and outward-looking ecosystem of defence and security technological solutions. The Group remains committed to steady investment in growth and internationalisation, with a strategic focus on innovation.
As part of this strategy, EFA GROUP recently announced targeted investments in the companies Wayren and Acromove for the development of a new generation of digital battlefield and telecommunications solutions, further strengthening its position in the global market.
At the same time, the Group has appointed Dr Grigoris Koutsoyiannis as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 October 2025, marking another step towards reinforcing its leadership structure.
Dr Koutsoyiannis takes on the leadership of EFA GROUP at a pivotal stage in its strategic development, with the aim of further enhancing both its organic and non-organic growth, in close collaboration with the management teams of the Group’s companies and their respective operational functions.
With more than 20 years of experience in the Defence and Security sector, Dr Koutsoyiannis has built a distinguished career in engineering, project management and international business development. He has held senior roles in multinational companies such as Lockheed Martin and L3Harris Technologies, where he most recently served as Regional Director for the Middle East, North Africa, India and Greece.
He began his career at Mitsubishi Electric as a Research Engineer specialising in radar and signal processing. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and a PhD in Signal Processing and Telecommunications, undertaken in collaboration with the UK Ministry of Defence.
