The ceremony for the assumption of the duties of the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff by Air Chief Marshal Georgios Bliolimos took place on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Hellenic Air Force Academy at the Dhekelia Air Base in Tatoi in the presence of the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, MPs, the Chief of the National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, His Eminence Metropolitan of Ilio – Acharnes and St. Petersburg, Mr. Athenagoras, the Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos, Mr. Ieronymos, the Chiefs of General Staffs and Security Forces, the General Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence, Mr. Antonios Oikonomou, the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Mr. Konstantinos Agorastos, Senior Air Force Officers, delegations of Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the Armed and Security Forces, the honorary Chiefs of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff and Hellenic Tactical Air Force, delegations of Retired Officers Associations, Hellenic Air Force personnel and foreign delegations.
