Defence Redefined
14/05/2025

EFA GROUP and its companies—EFA VENTURES, SCYTALYS, UCANDRONE, and AETHER AERONAUTICS- have successfully participated at DEFEA 2025 Exhibition, held at the Athens Metropolitan Expo from 6 to 8 May 2025.

The Group’s companies showcased their latest developments in Combat Management Systems, Command and Control Systems (C2), Interoperability, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), reaffirming their commitment to innovation and to the continuous development of cutting-edge products and solutions that meet contemporary operational requirements.

By leveraging state-of-the-art technologies developed with internal funding and by implementing a reliable long-term support policy, EFA GROUP has built an ecosystem of integrated defence solutions derived from and sustained by a single source.

Functioning effectively as a “One Stop Shop” for a wide range of interoperable products, systems, and technologies, EFA GROUP is able to address the diverse and complex needs of all branches of the Armed and Security Forces with tailored, specification-driven solutions.

More specifically, SCYTALYS presented its new advanced MIMS ARMOR Combat Management system, designed for integration into military vehicles, as well as the “Combat Cloud”, developed for modern network-centric operations.

Furthermore, SCYTALYS unveiled its evolving line of in-house C2 systems, focusing on intelligent anti-air and anti-ballistic protection, featuring systemic integration of sensors, command components and weapons, combined with AI and machine learning technologies.

UCANDRONE, which has achieved significant export activity across Europe in recent years, introduced the Blackbird — an innovative tactical ISRΤ (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting) UAS. This fully autonomous, swarm-capable aircraft can operate effectively in demanding day and night scenarios, and can autonomously take off and land on moving vehicles and vessels. Its lightweight design and rapid assembly capabilities make it ideal for Special Operations Forces.

AETHER AERONAUTICS presented the latest iterations of its successful aerial target systems, NMS-2 and PNS-1, powered by a turbojet engine and a two-stroke piston engine, respectively. These systems fulfil the full spectrum of operational requirements for both low and high-performance target applications. Over the past two years, AETHER AERONAUTICS has successfully exported its systems to five countries.

The successful presence of EFA GROUP at DEFEA 2025 was further marked by the announcement of a strategic investment agreement with Acromove Inc., a high-tech firm based in California, which also exhibited one of its products at the EFA GROUP stand.

This collaboration aims to develop a next-generation suite of high-tech telecommunications and IT solutions utilising Private 5G and Edge Cloud technologies—together forming a significant force multiplier on the modern battlefield by enhancing communications and the secure flow of mission-critical information between military units.
