The Ministry of Justice and Public Order of the Republic of Cyprus has ordered ten (10) new Fast Patrol Vessels from Finnish Kewatec.

A Police exercise was carried out on Thursday morning at the GSP stadium in Nicosia, focusing on how to counter a terrorist attack with the use of CBRN-E agents.
The purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate the readiness of the Security Authorities (Police and Fire Service), the cooperation with other competent agencies, but also the effectiveness of the Operational Plans applied in such cases.

Forces of the Police (Emergency Response Unit), the Fire Service, the Ambulance Service, and other competent services of the State participated in the exercise.
The exercise is co-financed by the Internal Security Fund and the Republic of Cyprus, within the framework of the COBRA project.
