On Monday, August 21, 2023, in the framework of the presence of the US destroyer USS RAMAGE (DDG-61) in the sea area of Cyprus, the Naval Command carried out an international aviation exercise with the US Navy called “CYP/USA – 03/2023”.
The exercise was planned by the Naval Command in collaboration with the US Navy and it involved the ALASIA General Support Vessel, the AW-139 helicopter of the Air Force Command and the American destroyer.
The scenario included Tactical Movements and Advanced Maneuvers, carrying out technical drills, Search-Rescue items with helicopter cooperation and concluded with a salute exchange between the 2 Ships.
