Crowds overwhelmed the airports of Cyprus after Hezbollah’s attack on Israel on Sunday morning and the fears of an escalation of the war on the so-called Northern Front, i.e., Israel’s border with Lebanon.
Cyprus, as the closest Israel-friendly destination, has the highest number of flights to Tel Aviv of any other country, both from Larnaca and Paphos, flights that increase even more in the summer months to meet the demand from Israelis.
Although additional non-scheduled routes have been added since yesterday morning, the flights have been all full, with many people waiting in the departure hall for a chance to return.
