A traffic accident in Mersin, Turkey resulted in the death of five Turkish soldiers who would be transferred to join the army in the occupied part of Cyprus.
According to NTV and Turkish-Cypriot media, a bus carrying Turkish soldiers to Mersina overturned, killing five army members and the bus driver.

Another 10 soldiers were injured in the accident.
