Cyprus Army Officers Association on Officers’ promotions | “Opportunity for timely planning of transfers”

Αn announcement was issued by the Cyprus Army Officers Association (SAKS), regarding the promotions of Officers, welcoming the determination and will of both the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the National Guard General Staff (GEEF).
The announcement in detail:
“The Cyprus Army Officers Association (SAKS) would like to congratulate its colleagues who have been promoted and wish them all the best in their new positions.
This year, the procedures provided by the Regulation on Officers’ evaluations – retirement – promotions were carried out on time, thus giving the opportunity for the timely planning of transfers and the activities of the National Guard (N.G.) more generally.
We believe that these actions, in combination with the promise given to increase the positions within the current year, prove the determination and the will of both the Minister of Defence and the Chief of GEEF for the in-depth reorganization of the Armed Forces, which is based on raising the morale of and providing incentives to the Officers, so as to eliminate the stasis that has been observed for years in terms of their promotions.”
