After a week of daily operations in quite an inaccessible terrain under very difficult weather conditions, the Cypriot mission arrived at the International Airport of Larnaca by a C-130 military aircraft. The Cypriot mission was welcomed by the Honorable Ministers of Justice and Public Order, Mrs. Stefi Drakou, and Interior, Mr. Nikos Nouris, as well as the Leadership of the Police, Fire Service, and Civil Defence.

Furthermore, there has been communication between the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, and the Assistant Director of the Fire Service, Mr. Dimitris Katsiflis, head of the mission in Greece, as well as with the head of the mission of the Civil Defense, Chrysilios Chrysiliou. During their contact, the President expressed his gratitude for their assistance in extinguishing the fires.

Finally, not only did the Cypriot mission receive appreciation messages for its assistance but also wishes for the speedy recovery of its injured member by the Deputy Minister for Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nick Hardalias, on behalf of the Hellenic Republic.
