The current and future synergies of the Ministry of Defence and the National Guard with the Digital Security Authority (DSA) were at the heart of today’s meeting between the Minister of Defence, Charalambos Petridis, and the Communications Commissioner, George Michailidis.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the meeting took place at the Commissioner’s office, where the two sides generally discussed ways to further strengthen their cooperation.

The Minister of Defence referred to the need to strengthen cooperation with all departments active in the field of digital security, emphasizing that it is now an integral part of the modern strategic and operational environment. Recent developments in cybersecurity in Europe and the wider region were also discussed.

According to the announcement, Mr. Petridis also visited the National CSIRT, which is the national team for dealing with cyberattacks in Cyprus, where he was informed about the actions and capabilities of the service.
