Rheinmetall and Anduril Industries have announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop and deliver a comprehensive suite of autonomous systems.

At the BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2024 Defence and Security Conference in Cyprus, Importica LTD reaffirmed its steady growth trajectory in the defence and security sector by presenting advanced technological solutions already deployed by law enforcement and armed forces in both Cyprus and Greece.
Importica specialises in the design, procurement, and technical support of specialised platforms, with a particular focus on operational maritime systems for naval security and search and rescue (SAR) missions. During the exhibition segment of the conference, the company showcased detailed scale models of vessels constructed by the Croatian shipyard Tehnomont. These vessels are already in active service with the Cyprus Police and the Hellenic Fire Service, where they undertake key roles in patrol operations, maritime surveillance, SAR, and sea-based firefighting.
These vessels are equipped with cutting-edge navigation and communication systems. Their modular architecture allows for seamless mission adaptability—whether for law enforcement presence, high-priority border security operations, or maritime firefighting scenarios.

Of particular note are the two state-of-the-art vessels recently delivered to the Hellenic Fire Service, which provide enhanced capability not only for maritime firefighting but also for evacuation operations in disaster-hit areas and wider civil protection missions.
These high-performance assets, designed to support high-risk and rapid-response operations, form part of a broader operational capability enhancement programme for the competent authorities. This programme has been developed in close collaboration with end-users and adheres fully to European safety and quality standards.
Importica’s strategic focus—combining tailored technical specifications, ongoing logistical support, and in-country maintenance capabilities—positions the company as a key player in the domain of specialised maritime platforms for both civil and national security purposes.
Its participation in BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2024 further demonstrated its commitment to delivering reliable, mission-driven solutions aimed at strengthening national crisis response mechanisms while promoting indigenous innovation on the international stage.
