At the international defence equipment exhibition, ADEX 2024, which took place in Baku on September 22-24, 2026, Azerbaijan presented a SandCat Stormer type vehicle of the Israeli company Plasan equipped with a quadruple SPIKE NLOS missile launcher.
The Stormer vehicle of the SandCat vehicle family of the Israeli company Plasan has been in the arsenal of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces for a long time. Among other things, it has reinforced armor and protection against mines and improvised explosive devices, a 500 hp diesel engine, and an active protection system (APS). It can carry a load of up to 2.5 tons, while its operational range reaches 800 kilometers.
The SPIKE NLOS missiles of the Israeli company RAFAEL have the ability to strike beyond the visual horizon and whose range reaches 32 kilometers. Azerbaijan has already used SPIKEs in both phases of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war against Armenian forces, from both ground and air platforms.
