According to an announcement by the National Guard General Staff (GEEF), in the context of the operational evaluation of the 8th Infantry Regiment, small-scale exercises were conducted across the province of Paphos, with the participation of reservists and hoplites. These were dual-action exercises focused on dealing with hostile actions.
The exercises were attended by the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Democritus Zervakis, the Inspector General of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Michalis Hatzidimitriou, and the evaluation team of GEEF, noting the high level of training and readiness as well as the general participation of reservists and hoplites.
